Sanctions
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) of the US Department of the Treasury administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions. Sanctions may target countries, regimes, entities, or individuals. Because sanctions programs and related lists change frequently, the ACIC is providing links to useful resources rather than specific articles or summaries.
The first two links go to, respectively, OFAC’s website and a sanctions search function maintained by OFAC. The third link is to the Private Placement Investors Association’s (PPiA) Resource tab which has their most recently published Questionnaire. Many investors in our industry use this questionnaire to gather information from issuers for sanctions analyses.
