Hello everyone! The holiday season already feels like a distant memory, and I hope 2026 has gotten off to a great start! It is a privilege to be involved with the ACIC and the valuable relationships and content that it provides for our members.
Before looking ahead to this year and beyond, I want to reflect on our 2025 successes. In the spring, Peter Butler (ArentFox Schiff) and Nicolette Lopez (Voya) helped unmask our potential by co-chairing The ACIC Super Conference. This past October, Amy Beaudoin (John Hancock/Manulife) and Kevin Braun (Morgan Lewis) took us on rides on a variety of informative topics in The Magical World of ACIC. Our Education Committee coordinated informative CLE’s on Uptier Transactions, Tax and Outbound Investments. We all understand the time and preparation it takes to provide educational programs to the college, so I appreciate the effort of all of our co-chairs, moderators, panelists, committee members and officers who contributed to our programs. A special thank you also to CJ Marchain and the team of Madeleine Crouch for their tireless support and administration of the college.
At the 2025 Annual Meeting, we welcomed Peter Butler (ArentFox Schiff), Sarah Olson (Thrivent) and Nicole Windsor (Chapman) to the ACIC Board of Trustees. We thanked Melody Cross (Prudential) for her leadership and dedication this past year as president as well as the contributions of outgoing trustees Renee Dailey (Eversheds), Kevin Knohl (ArentFox Schiff) and Kate Lindsay (MetLife).
We have already been busy in 2026. We hosted a Private Placement vs. Direct Lending CLE in January, and the TMPC is continuing to work toward releasing updated Model Form Note Purchase Agreements. I look forward to seeing you at our Spring Forum, which is quickly approaching and will be co-chaired by Dorothy Foster (Rimon) and Sarah Valenziano (Prudential).
I will end with what I said at the Annual Meeting – that the ACIC’s mission is to serve its members. I encourage you to reach out with questions, ideas or suggestions. Thank you to all of our members for your continued support.
