During the ACIC’s 2025 annual meeting, the following individuals were elected to serve the positions set forth below. Please join the ACIC in congratulating and welcoming its newest officers and trustees.
President: Bryan S. Cho (MetLife)

Bryan Cho is Vice President & Associate General Counsel at MetLife Investment Management located in Whippany, New Jersey. Bryan leads the fixed income and workouts legal team and provides advice and counsel to MetLife’s investment professionals domestically and abroad on a wide range of debt and alternative investments, including private placements, infrastructure, project financings and public bonds.
Prior to joining MetLife, Bryan was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York focusing on representing investment banks, financial institutions, sponsors and corporations on a broad array of financing transactions and general corporate matters.
Bryan received his J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Boston College Law School where he was an editor of the Boston College Law Review and received his B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University.
Vice President 1: Patti Boss (Voya)

Patti Boss is Senior Vice President, Head of Private Credit Legal for Voya Investment Management. She heads the legal group that is responsible for all matters related to the structuring, documentation and negotiation of privately placed transactions, including secured, structured and international transactions, as well as the amendments and restructuring of existing investments. Prior to joining Voya she practiced law in the capital markets group of Bingham & McCutchen (formerly Hebb & Gitlin and now Morgan, Lewis & Bockius) in its Hartford and London offices where she represented institutional lenders in debt, mezzanine and equity transactions. She was also an associate with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in New York City, working primarily in the energy and debt financing groups.
Patti received her A.B. degree in biology from Smith College and a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
Patti served as a Trustee and Secretary of the American College of Investment Counsel, and is a member of the Membership Committee.
Vice President 2: Michael Robson (Greenberg Traurig)

Michael Robson is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and is based in Chicago, IL. Michael focuses his practice on corporate, project and structured finance transactions (both domestic and cross border), including public private partnerships and lease finance transactions (including credit tenant loans).
Michael has been a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel for a number of years, was co-chair of the Fall 2020 conference, and serves as co-chair of the Communications Committee. Michael received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
Secretary: Robin Lenarz (Loomis, Sayles & Company)

Robin Lenarz is an assistant general counsel at Loomis, Sayles & Company, where she oversees all transactional work for the private credit group. In this role, she is responsible for review, negotiation and analysis of transaction documentation, management of the closing process and related regulatory matters. Robin joined Loomis Sayles in 2023 and has over 25 years of investment industry experience. Previously, she was a vice president and assistant general counsel at Securian Asset Management, responsible for review and negotiation of transaction documents for private placement bond, private equity and commercial real estate investment teams along with related regulatory and investment advisory matters. Prior to this, Robin was the internal counsel for fixed income investment teams and corporate transactions at Ameriprise Financial.
She serves as Secretary for the board of Trustees and as a co-chair of the education committee at the American College of Investment Counsel. Robin was named one of the Top Women in Finance in 2018 by Finance and Commerce magazine. She earned a BA in Economics from Hamline University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
Treasurer: Jenna Jenson (Thrivent)

Jenna Jenson is the VP, Managing Counsel of Asset Management for Thrivent Financial, General Counsel of Thrivent Asset Management and Thrivent Investment Capital Advisors, LLC. In these roles, she leads Thrivent’s investment legal department that includes support for the general account and mutual fund complex. Thrivent has ~$194 billion in assets under management/advisement as of 2024 fiscal year end. Ms. Jenson is the primary attorney for the institution’s ~$10 billion private equity portfolio and its ~$2.3 billion real estate private equity portfolio.
Ms. Jenson serves as Treasurer and Board Member of the American College of Investment Counsel, where she also Co-Chairs the Development Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel and previously chaired its Investments Section.
Prior to joining Thrivent, Ms. Jenson was an attorney in the Private Equity, Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions Departments at Fredrikson & Byron, P.A.. Ms. Jenson earned her J.D. degree, cum laude, from University of Iowa Law School and a B.S. in Political Science and Minor in Communications from University of Wisconsin La-Crosse with highest honors. Ms. Jenson is a frequent speaker on industry topics. Her hobby? Wrestling with “new math” alongside her son and losing spectacularly—because math shouldn’t need a user manual.

Peter Butler (ArentFox Schiff LLP)

Peter Butler is a partner and member of the Finance Group at ArentFox Schiff LLP. Peter helps lenders, funds, sponsors, issuers and corporate borrowers close complex and innovative financings with speed and certainty. Peter’s practice spans acquisition financings, first lien/second lien and mezzanine financings, leveraged finance, private placements of notes and asset-based financings – often in sponsor-backed transactions. Peter has particular experience representing mezzanine and other junior capital investors in acquisition financings and related debt transactions.
Peter has been a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel since 2016, was a Co-Chair of the 2025 Spring Investment Forum, serves on the Communications Committee and previously served on the Website Committee. Peter received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and his B.A. in English and History from Vanderbilt University.
Sarah Olson (Thrivent)

Sarah Olson is a Director, Senior Counsel at Thrivent. Within Thrivent’s Private Investments group, Sarah serves as the primary attorney for the Private Placements team. She also works on Private Credit matters, as well as bankruptcy or restructuring issues for both the private and public investments groups. Sarah is one of the co-editors of the ACIC Private Notes newsletter.
Prior to joining Thrivent in 2019, Sarah was a shareholder in the Minneapolis office of Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., where her practice focused on bankruptcy and restructuring matters, primarily representing debtors in Chapter 11 cases. Sarah received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and a B.A. in English from the University of Kansas.
Nicole Windsor (Chapman)

Nicole Windsor is a partner and member of Chapman’s Corporate Finance Department. She represents financial institutions, insurance companies, and other institutional investors in private placements of debt, advising on both secured and unsecured financings. Her work spans a range of markets, including real estate, public utilities, sports finance, project finance, and general corporate financings.
Nicole regularly represents investors based in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and the United Kingdom on domestic and cross-border transactions. Her practice encompasses a diverse set of private placements with issuers based in the United Kingdom and has also advised on financings with issuers from the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, France, and Japan.
Nicole serves on the Board of Trustees and Membership Committee for the American College of Investment Counsel (ACIC). She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including multiple forums hosted by the Practising Law Institute (PLI), Private Placements Industry Forum (PPIF) and the ACIC. She co-hosted the ACIC Fall 2019 Conference and served as Chair of the 2024 Informa PPIF Conference.
Nicole received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the Washington University in St. Louis and received her BS in Public Relations from the University of Florida. Nicole lives on the north side of the city of Chicago with her husband and son.
