During the ACIC’s 2024 annual meeting, the following individuals were elected to serve the positions set forth below. Please join the ACIC in welcoming and congratulating its newest officers and trustees.

President: Melody Cross (Prudential Private Capital)
Melody Cross is Vice President & Corporate Counsel for Prudential Private Capital. Her responsibilities include providing legal support to Prudential’s investment teams focusing on direct lending, corporate finance, mezzanine and cross-border transactions. Prior to joining Prudential, Melody was a partner in the Finance Group at Schiff Hardin LLP where she counseled institutional investors (and occasionally borrowers) in a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions including senior, mezzanine, private placements, and equity transactions.
Melody received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and her B.S. from Northwestern University as a communications and history double major.
Melody previously served as a Trustee of the American College of Investment Counsel and is a co-chair of the Website and Social Media Committee. She lives on the north side of the city of Chicago with her husband and two daughters.

Vice President 1: Bryan S. Cho (MetLife)
Bryan Cho is Vice President & Associate General Counsel at MetLife Investment Management located in Whippany, New Jersey. Bryan leads the fixed income and workouts legal team and provides advice and counsel to MetLife’s investment professionals domestically and abroad on a wide range of debt and alternative investments, including private placements, infrastructure, project financings and public bonds.
Prior to joining MetLife, Bryan was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York focusing on representing investment banks, financial institutions, sponsors and corporations on a broad array of financing transactions and general corporate matters.
Bryan received his J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Boston College Law School where he was an editor of the Boston College Law Review and received his B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University.

Vice President 2: Patti Boss (Voya)
Patti Boss is Senior Vice President, Head of Private Credit Legal for Voya Investment Management. She heads the legal group that is responsible for all matters related to the structuring, documentation and negotiation of privately placed transactions, including secured, structured and international transactions, as well as the amendments and restructuring of existing investments. Prior to joining Voya she practiced law in the capital markets group of Bingham & McCutchen (formerly Hebb & Gitlin and now Morgan, Lewis & Bockius) in its Hartford and London offices where she represented institutional lenders in debt, mezzanine and equity transactions. She was also an associate with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in New York City, working primarily in the energy and debt financing groups.
Patti received her A.B. degree in biology from Smith College and a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Boston College Law School.
Patti served as a Trustee and Secretary of the American College of Investment Counsel, and is a co-chair of the Membership Committee as well as a member of the Education Committee.

Treasurer: Michael Robson (Greenberg Traurig)
Michael Robson is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and is based in Chicago, IL. Michael focuses his practice on corporate, project and structured finance transactions (both domestic and cross border), including public private partnerships and lease finance transactions (including credit tenant loans).
Michael has been a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel for a number of years, was co-chair of the Fall 2020 conference, and serves as co-chair of the Communications Committee. Michael received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Secretary: Robin Lenarz (Loomis, Sayles & Company)
Robin Lenarz is an assistant general counsel at Loomis, Sayles & Company, where she oversees all transactional work for the private credit group. In this role, she is responsible for review, negotiation and analysis of transaction documentation, management of the closing process and related regulatory matters. Robin joined Loomis Sayles in 2023 and has over 25 years of investment industry experience. Previously, she was a vice president and assistant general counsel at Securian Asset Management, responsible for review and negotiation of transaction documents for private placement bond, private equity and commercial real estate investment teams along with related regulatory and investment advisory matters. Prior to this, Robin was the internal counsel for fixed income investment teams and corporate transactions at Ameriprise Financial.
She is on the board of trustees and co-chair of the education committee at the American College of Investment Counsel. Robin was named one of the Top Women in Finance in 2018 by Finance and Commerce. She earned a BA in Economics from Hamline University and a JD from Harvard Law School.

Class of 2027: Charles Calloway (Greenberg Traurig)
Charles C. Calloway, Jr. is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP and is based in Chicago, IL. Charles represents financial institutions and strategic investors in corporate, project finance, private placement, sports finance and structured finance transactions. Additionally, Charles has extensive experience representing lenders in connection with secured and unsecured credit facilities, revolvers, term loans to private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Charles also has experience advising companies on growth investments and other strategic investors on various types of M&A deals and acquisition financings. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, he was a partner in the Corporate Finance group at Chapman and Cutler LLP (Chicago).
Charles has been a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel since 2014, previously served as co-editor of the ACIC’s newsletter “Private Notes,” and is currently a member of the Communications Committee. He currently serves as the co-chair of the Transition Process Management Committee and the Website & Social Media Committee. He on the Advisory Board of After School Matters and serves on the Board of Directors of Black Ensemble Theatre, Chicago Humanities Festival, and Oak Hill Academy. Charles received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School and received his BBA in International Business and Finance from the George Washington University School of Business.

Class of 2027: Jeff Dutson (King & Spalding)
Jeffrey Dutson is a Partner at King & Spalding LLP and is based in Atlanta, GA. Jeff focuses on restructuring in the firm’s leveraged finance and restructuring group and represents corporate debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, buyers and sellers in distressed M&A transactions, and banks and other investors in complex restructurings, bankruptcy, and finance matters.
Jeff has been a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel for a number of years and previously served as the Co-Chair for the ACIC Spring Investment Forum. He also serves as the Co-Chair for the Advisory Board of the American Bankruptcy Institute Southeastern Workshop. Jeff received his law degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia.

Class of 2027: Tom Pasuit (Kuvare)
Thomas Pasuit is the Co-Head and Chief Legal Officer of Kuvare Strategic Investments and is based in the New York City metro area. In this role, Tom serves as the co-leader of the Investments Department for the Kuvare family of insurance, reinsurance and annuity companies, which is responsible for supervising Kuvare’s $40B+ investment portfolio, including direct management of strategic investments. Tom also heads the Investments Legal and Compliance function for the enterprise. Prior to joining Kuvare, Tom spent over 16 years with MetLife, most recently as the head of MetLife Investment Management’s Fixed Income and Alternatives legal team. Tom began his legal career with the law firm of Connell Foley, LLP, where he specialized in bankruptcy and financial restructuring.
Tom has been a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel for nearly 20 years and previously served as the Co-Chair for the ACIC Fall Annual Meeting. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Tom received his law degree from the Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross.
