On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Education Committee, we invite you to join us April 16-17 at the Four Seasons in Chicago for the ACIC’s 2020 Spring Forum. Our musical and legal journey will take us across generations as we explore a variety of issues in the private placement world. We have assembled a great list of distinguished speakers and moderators that include both external and internal specialists and practitioners.
We will start with Public-Private Partnerships and then transition to a market update, including current NAIC developments and LIBOR transition. We’ll discuss challenges in third party asset management and issues to consider in Latin American and Energy Investments. As a corollary to the Tipper X presentation in October, we will cap Day One with a prosecutorial perspective on Insider Trading from David Miller, a former federal prosecutor who prosecuted insider trading cases, including cases involving Tipper X, who now serves in private practice while moonlighting as a consultant to the hit TV show Billions. We will wrap up our journey across the ages on Day Two with panels on construction finance and the funding and closing process, including helpful measures to prevent fraud. We will conclude with a fascinating ethics discussion on Generational Diversity in the workplace with our guest speaker Chris DeSantis.
Please keep an eye out for the full agenda!
We look forward to seeing you this Spring.
