Arinze N. Onugha is a senior associate in the New York office of Sullivan & Worcester. He represents institutional investors, including regulated funds of funds, family offices and pension plans, making alternative investments in domestic and offshore special situations, growth, buy-out, venture capital, real estate and other private investment funds and co investments. He also represents fund sponsors in the organization, structuring and operation of their private funds. In addition, he assists institutional investors with secondary transactions to purchase or sell portfolios of private fund interests.
Arinze is a Goldman Sachs Scholarship for Excellence Award recipient and has been recognized by the Jackie Robinson Foundation as one of its “42 under 40” Distinguished Jackie Robinson Scholar Alumni. Arinze currently serves as a board member of the NYU Law School Alumni Association Board of Directors, co-chairing its External Affairs Committee, board member of the Black TV & Film Collective and in 2019 he was elected Chairman of the Board of DIFFvelopment, Inc.
Charlotte Lewis-Williams is VP and Corporate Counsel at PGIM Private Capital. Based in their London Office, Charlotte supports PPC’s European teams with private debt, private placement, direct lending and mezzanine finance. Charlotte trained as a lawyer at Clifford Chance and practiced for several years in their banking and finance group before joining the London office of Vinson & Elkins and now PPC. Charlotte has represented banks, alternative lenders, private equity sponsors and corporates in a broad array of financings (leveraged and acquisition finance, energy and infrastructure, funds finance and emerging markets).
Charlotte obtained her law degree from the University of Law, London and, in addition, she has an MA in French and German from the University of Cambridge.
Kate Fletcher is Assistant General Counsel in the Private Debt Group at Barings, supporting private finance, private placement and infrastructure platforms. Kate was previously counsel at King & Spalding’s Charlotte office representing financial institutions, lenders and borrowers in leveraged finance and other secured and unsecured lending transactions, with a focus on acquisition financing.
Kate received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina and her B.A. from Davidson College.
Lisa Muller is Senior Securities Counsel at National Life Group & Sentinel Investments. Lisa is responsible for providing primary securities and investment legal counsel for in-house asset manager managing insurance company general account assets, focusing on alternative investments, structured products, private placements and derivatives. Lisa also provides legal support for other insurance company matters, such as insurance products, claims, corporate/vendor contracts, corporate governance matters and investment risk committee. Prior to National Life Group & Sentinel Investments, Lisa was an Assistant General Counsel for the State of Vermont, Department of Financial Regulation. Prior to that, Lisa was a Corporate Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Tokyo.
Lisa received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude and her A.B. from Colgate University, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
Lyneth Rhoten is Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. Lyneth is responsible for providing legal support to insurance companies making Private Placement and Private Equity investments. Lyneth also advises on insurance regulatory and compliance matters as well as reinsurance transactions. Prior to Mutual of Omaha, Lyneth was VP, Securities Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Conagra Brands, Inc. Prior to that, Lyneth was a partner at Kutak Rock LLP, and prior to Kutak a Senior Associate at Holland & Knight.
Lyneth received her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law.
Peter Butler is an associate in the Finance Group of Schiff Hardin LLP. Peter’s practice focuses on a variety of financing transactions including acquisition financings, private placements, mezzanine financings and private equity transactions. He regularly represents institutional investors in a wide range of privately placed transactions as well as middle-market lenders, investors, sponsors and portfolio companies in acquisition financings and related debt transactions. In addition, Peter has experience representing lenders and borrowers in asset-based financings.
Peter received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Sarah Jarvis is Assistant Vice President, Counsel, at Pacific Life Insurance Company, where she advises on a broad array of financial and product related issues, including stable value, working capital finance programs, and real estate and private placement transactions. She has also provided counsel on a range of legal and compliance matters in the retail life insurance, retail annuities, and broker-dealer markets. Prior to joining Pacific Life, Sarah was an associate at Carlton Fields.
Sarah received her J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Miami and her B.S. in Finance and Multinational Business from Florida State University.
Sumbul Ali is an Assistant Vice President & Managing Counsel at Sun Life Capital Management. Sumbul is responsible for advising the SLC Management Private Fixed Income team on a wide range of domestic and international transactions in the areas of project finance, private real estate debt, corporate finance and mid-market debt. Sumbul also leads the Private Fixed Income legal team. Prior to joining Sun Life Capital Management, Sumbul was a senior associate at Stikeman Elliott LLP in their Toronto office, primarily advising on banking transactions. Prior to that, Sumbul was an associate at Linklaters LLP in their London office where she advised on banking transactions and restructuring matters.
Sumbul received her B.Comm from the University of Toronto and her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
Tyler Margolis is an associate in the Finance Group at Schiff Hardin LLP in Chicago, Illinois. He regularly represents financial institutions and institutional investors in a wide variety of domestic and international corporate financing matters, including senior secured and unsecured financings, mezzanine transactions, collateral sharing arrangements, private placements and other structured financings.
Tyler received his J.D. from Hofstra University and his B.S. from the University of Maryland.
