Yes, folks – it’s time once again for another episode of AMERICAN College of Investment Counsel BANDSTAND! Whether you want the new and latest investment tunes or love your favorite golden oldies – please join us at the ACIC’s 2016 Spring Investment Forum on April 7 and 8 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, IL – and find out who is calling the investment tunes in 2016!
Our Co-Chairs are Kirk Orr (AIG Investments) and Brad Crawford (Vedder Price P.C.). With guidance from the ACIC’s President, Vice-President, Education Committee and Board of Trustees, Brad and Kirk have organized a timely and diverse program, where we will play several “newly released” investment topics that are sure to become big hits. Panels will address indenture trustees (and strategies to work with them), proposal and commitment letters (and the risk of blurred lines between them), ESOPs (including leveraged ESOPs and how ESOPs, whether leveraged or not, affect covenants), and the duties and responsibilities of individuals appointed to boards of directors.
The conference will start off with the traditional crowd favorite, the Market Update, and will also cover other “oldies” topics such as financial covenants, model form provisions and international insolvency (but with a Brazilian beat).
The conference will include lunch and a 5:30 p.m. cocktail party on Thursday, with continental breakfast both Thursday and Friday. Friday’s panels following breakfast will include updated covers of two ethics hits from the past (yes, two hours of ethics credit!) that have been re-mixed in an updated production guaranteed to be more entertaining than ever.
