The Board of Trustees is continuing to pursue opportunities to improve the ACIC. Significant recent initiatives have included website renovations, increased membership communications and involvement, development of new membership criteria and a focus on recruitment efforts, and an upgrade to the location of the NY Annual Meeting. Most recently the Board is increasing its focus on the purpose and functionality of the ACIC Committees.
Each Committee Chair has been asked to make periodic presentations to the Board on the status of their Committee. The Committee reviews will include a discussion of each Committee’s challenges and objectives and a review of recent accomplishments. The Chairs will also review committee membership with a goal of ensuring active participation by all committee members, representation of a cross section of law firms and institutions, diversity of members, and reasonable turnover in order to allow inclusion of ideas and responsibilities by all ACIC members.
The Board hopes a renewed focus on Committees will enhance the functionality of the College and provide increased opportunities for members to get involved and benefit from interacting with peers on matters of specific interest.
If you would like to become a Committee member, please express your interest directly to one or more of the Chairs or to any of the Trustees. A full list of the Committees, Chairs and the Trustees can be found on the website.
