Sarah Olson is a Director, Senior Counsel at Thrivent. Within Thrivent’s Private Investments group, Sarah serves as the primary attorney for the Private Placements team. She also works on Private Credit matters, as well as bankruptcy or restructuring issues for both the private and public investments groups. Sarah is one of the co-editors of the ACIC Private Notes newsletter.
Prior to joining Thrivent in 2019, Sarah was a shareholder in the Minneapolis office of Fredrikson & Byron, P.A., where her practice focused on bankruptcy and restructuring matters, primarily representing debtors in Chapter 11 cases. Sarah received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and a B.A. in English from the University of Kansas. When not working or chauffeuring her two kids to activities, she enjoys playing pickleball and trying new restaurants.

Julia Singh is a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Julia’s practice focuses on the representation of institutional investors in finance transactions, with an emphasis on private placements of debt securities (both secured and unsecured) and other debt financings. Her industry experience is wide-ranging and includes utilities, power and energy, infrastructure, terminals, hospitals, universities, public housing and REITs in the U.S. and in numerous foreign jurisdictions (including Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, The Neverlands, Germany, Luxembourg and Australia).
Greenberg Traurig has a team of attorneys (including attorneys in its Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin and Amsterdam offices) engaged on a full-time basis in the practice of institutional private placements.
